Wednesday Two | Summer Bucket List Link-Up

So, I’m breaking my steadfast cardinal rule of never posting more than once a day…but see, Kiki at In It’s Time is hosting a really, really fun link-up and well, I just have to be a part of it. The things I’ll do for you, Kiki. ;) So go check it out; it’s the cool thing to do today, okay?

Today's topic? Summer Bucket List. Yes, my heart rate went up with excitement at the word list. I love lists. Not being a die-hard adventurer (even though in my head I like to think I am), my summer bucket list probably isn’t all that cool or wow-inducing. So no hating, okay? Without further ado, here’s my summer bucket list. Prepare to be amazed.

Go to the beach. Seriously, who’s bucket list is this not on? It’s been way too long since this pacific-coaster found her way to her favorite beach, and there’s nothing like the sun setting over the water. Best thing ever.

Host a chocolate party. Girls only. :)

Buy a bed. See, I told you my list was amazing, right? Right now I’m still sleeping on just a mattress on the floor (a mattress that technically needs to be taken back to Home) and I’m getting really ready to be up off the floor again. Three spiders in my bed is three spiders too many.

Get gel nails. Definitely a worthy aspiration, amiright? But nails are sort of my thing, so I want to give it a try.

Learn to ride a unicycle. Bet you didn’t see that one coming.

Go camping in the redwoods. Basically an annual family tradition that’s become hit-or-miss the past few years. I love hot cocoa around the fire on a cold morning, reading in a hammock in the afternoon and sitting around the fire with my family after dark, playing instruments (well, they play instruments), singing old hymns and just being together. I also like the part where the raccoons and skunks come wondering into camp.

Have a Disney Princess marathon. You know me and my Disney! Who wants to join me? Bonus: who's your favorite Disney princess?

    1. Belle is one of my favorites, too, Ruth! Belle, Ariel and Jasmine are my three fav's. And Rapunzel, although she barely squeaks in as a "classic" Princess. I still just LOOOVE her. :)

  3. I definitely did not see the unicycle thing coming! But it sounds like such a fun goal + I can't wait to read a post about it (yep, I did just tell you do something else for me. Good thing you like me--you still do, right?). :)

And that chocolate party? Um, can you have a virtual/online chocolate party, perhaps? Or can I just invite myself (yet another thing you can do for me, haha)? Because that sounds like so much fun.

Thanks for linking up, friend! I can't wait to see these adventures and goals unfold this summer!

    1. Haha, Kiki, I would totally do those things for you and more. True friend here, ya know. ;) And yes, I'd love for you to come to my chocolate party! Any more summer plans of visiting relatives, huh? I bet they miss you already and really want you to come back. ;)

This was a REALLY fun link-up, Kiki! I'm glad I got to be a part of it! :D

  4. - Would you believe... I've never (ever!) been to the beach. *sigh* It's definitely something I want to do eventually. I DON'T travel much. :)

    - Ooo, who doesn't like a good Disney movie now and again!? Tangled rules. ;)

    - Love doing my nails; right now they are painted red and good grief, I think I finally found the "perfect" shade. It's "sassy" but more of a "grown-up" red. :) Though not as much as I used too, it's still fun to put on fake nails in a French manicure also.

    Love your list!

    1. Rissi?? You land-locked beauty, you! What a tragedy! I've grown up at the beach/coast in so many ways, only being just over a hour from it. Definitely a favorite place! Although the Northern Pacific coast is cold, windy and lots of cliffs. Which I love. :) You need to get to a beach, girl!

Ah yes! Tangled is one of my favorites!! What is it about that movie that just captured all our hearts??

Red is a hard shade to get just right, either it's too orange or just too intrusive! Glad you found a good shade! I've really been slacking this past year on my nails, I used to do them religiously but lately? Not as much.

    2. I know! Visiting a beach - any place will do, is on my "someday list." :) My uncle and his family went to Hawaii when I was a teen and my family was invited to come also but it didn't work out. Someday!

Good question; Tangled was just darling. THe humor, characters and animation made our imaginations soars.

You know, it's been quite a while since I last saw Sleeping Beauty, I should watch that one again!

  8. Sounds so much Fun! I am afraid to do a summer list because I am trying to finish off and start my school semesters....so I make it in time to graduate in '14!!!! Aaaaahhh!!

I think I should do one anyway...hmmm...we'll see.

Didn't know you were a Disney princess fan. ☺ I am not but when I see things....I'll think of you now and a friend from Patrick's friends sister....kinda confusing, I know....but she is the first grown up Disney-fan I heard about.

    Greetings from Germany

    2. Well, bucket lists don't have to be intense, just the small things you'd like to do! :)

Yup, I'm one big Disney fan! Specifically classic Disney and Disney princesses. :)

  10. Love your list... &, yes, girl you need a bed! =) I'd love to have a princess movie marathon, too - my princess fave is either Ariel, Belle, or Rapunzel {well, I love em all & it's hard to choose}. Glad to find your blog through the link-up!

  11. Oooh, I love your bucket list, Kellie!!! :) The Redwoods are so beautiful, too, and yay to hot cocoa while camping!

And as for Disney, ohhhhhhh Disney... it's hard to pick my favorite princess (or IS it?) I have to say Ariel! She was my first favorite! But I could honestly give a list about nearly every single one and why I think they're awesome, haha!

    1. Sounds like I've found another Disney Princess fan! Same here, I love them all and it can be hard narrowing it down to just one. Since they're all gorgeous and they all have a happy-ever-after. ;)

    2. You're right... you know, I should have just picked the princess based on which prince she gets... and in that case, I may have to choose Jasmine! :)

    1. Yup, it IS hard! I've tried riding my brother's unicycle and at first I thought it would be a lost cause...but I think I got to the point where I could see that eventually with some hard work, I could get the hang of it. :)

  16. I am absolutely in for the Disney princess marathon! I am so missing my VHS collection of all the classics ;) It didn't make the move with me to Seattle... and I love Belle, of course, as does almost every other brunette gal around, but Aurora is another one that I just love. Her prince is the best in my opinion! Can I come to the chocolate party, too? That sounds divine!

    1. Hehe, what is it about grown adult women who still loooove Disney Princesses? I know I'll love them to the bitterest end! :) Belle does seem to be a popular favorite, I think it's the big yellow dress. ;) Aaaah, how sad not to have you VHS's! And buying Disney dvd's are sorta pricey!! Sheesh. But I'm excited - I think Little Mermaid is being released from the vault soon, so excited! :D
