Thursday ~ Don't.Stop.Believin' (Wk 4)

  • I believe in the occasional Green Tea Frappuccino.
  • I believe in planning fun "adventures" with Stuart while most of the other siblings are gone for the summer.
  • I believe that flip-flops should be considered appropriate work attire.
  • I believe in bobby pins and paper clips. They have far more uses that just holding together hair and paper.
  • I believe in friends who send me phone pictures of their cats because they know that I'm missing mine so much. Thanks, Brea!
  • I believe too strongly in Chocolate Moose Tracks ice cream. Three bowls too strong.
  • I believe in sunglasses all the time.
  • I believe in messy hair buns.
  • I believe in sleeping in a cold room under a huge mound of warm blankets.
  • I believe in snuggling up with my niece before putting her into bed and reading "The Princess & the Pea." With different voices for different characters.
  • I believe in talks with my 19 year old brother Scott about the Rapture and end times stuff.
  • I believe in listening to music in the car and pretending I'm in a movie and the songs are my soundtrack. You know you do it, too.
  • I believe in Andy Griffith & Dick Van Dyke.
  • I believe in using turn signals and thinks everyone should believe in that, too.
  • I believe in Super Saver Shipping.

  1. This is precisely why I could never be a police officer. I would be so preoccupied with writing tickets for "Failure to use a turn signal" that I would miss all the big emergencies. Local citation revenues would sure jump, though.

    1. It may just be you've missed your true calling!! Never to late, you know. ;)

  2. Totally agree about turn signal usage, flip flops, ice cream and my own soundtrack!!!
Though you can keep the green tea fraps, they kind of taste like grass to me...cold, creamy, sweet grass, but grass non-the-less!

    1. What's wrong with cold, creamy sweet grass? It's like the ice cream of cows! *cracks up laughing at my own dumb joke* So...what are some of your favorite "soundtrack" songs? :D

  3. YES to that last one! That is awesome. So what that we have to wait longer - it's free! ;)

Also, love messy buns. Basically that is my "go-to" style. :)

    1. For, Super Saver used to only take like 2 or 3 days, for real! But then sometime last year, it started taking a week or longer. But who's complaining?? Like you said, it's FREE!!

I just love messy buns - they take no work, are so versatile and are still so cute! :D

  4. Green Tea Frappe??? ::shudder:: Love you, gral--but no thank you! I like my green tea fruit-flavored, NO cream, thank you very much. ;) I'll have to send you pictures of my cats...::noted::
    Car songs=soundtrack. That's why I don't mind long car rides. ;)

A.MEN!!! to turn signals. Ohmygosh--they're non-existent here it's not even funny. Instead of flipping on turn signals when they have to turn, other drivers on the road more often flip something else with their hand.
Sorry...pet peeve of mind especially because I'm so conscientious about it--I use my turn signal coming out of our driveway, for pity's sake!

    1. Hehe, yes, the Green Tea Frapp is indeed a horse of a different color (literally), but it's actually quite good, once you get beyond the initial surprise at the taste. :D

I'm the same way! I try and use my turn signal all the time! After all, do unto others! What I really dislike is the people who don't use their turn signal on roundabouts or when you have to wait to turn across traffic because a car is coming from the left...and then they turn onto the road you're on, which means you could have gone at any point...oh well! At least I know I use that little directional gadget! :D

  5. Glad to help out with the cat pictures ;) And I loooOoOoovve Moose Tracks too. It's just that my poor stomach does not :( Messy hair buns? They're the best! My hair is basically long enough to start wearing them again and I'm pretty happy about it. And of course I pretend like I'm in a movie when listening to songs, doesn't everyone know that that makes it sound better? haha....

    1. Brea, I am continually so sad for you that you can't eat ice cream so easily and also very glad that I've ended up not suffering from the same complaint!

I'm always the same way about my hair finally being long enough to messy buns again after I've had it cut short! Mine's also just about long enough to do those cute, loose side braids again. I missed all those easy hair-do's when I got my hair cut so short a few years back! :D

  7. I believe in dancing in your seat to the music in your car! I always get a little embarrassed at what other drivers are thinking, but I can never sit still when music is playing. :)

    1. Haha, Kara, that's so funny!! I was "dancing" once in my driver's seat, being silly along with my little niece, who was strapped into the carseat in the back seat. We were all wiggling and you know, dancing to the music...and then this car drives by and there's this guy around my age in it, and he's TOTALLY making complete fun of me!! I just chalked it up to the things one does to make your niece laugh. :)

    1. Netflix is pretty amazing, isn't it? Don't have it myself, but I've experienced it's joy enough through other people to know that it's pretty awesome! Yay for old black and white tv shows!

  9. Oh, yes, flip-flops are definitely work-appropriate. :) I like Yellow Box. So comfy!
Blankets are wonderful! (Especially furry ones!)
The Dick Van Dyke Show is hilarious. I hadn't really watched it before seeing "Night at the Museum," but I had seen D.V.D. in "Mary Poppins" and was somewhat irked to see him playing a bad guy in the museum. :)

    1. I pretty much grew up on Dick Van Dyke! We have countless quotes from that show! Definitely a show I'll watch forever! :D Yes, it was strange to see him play a "bad guy" since he's always been such a lovable nice guy in all the other things I've seen him on! Especially Mary Poppins!

  10. I hear ya about the turn signals!!! I am not a huge fan of the green tea fraps but my husband is... but I do believe in a caramel frap once in awhile. :)
