Friday ~ Happy Fender-Bender Friday!

So, I'd planned on a normal Friday morning, where I drive my normal way into the office, get there early enough to sit and post a few photos, and just progress on my normal life.

In reality...I sit in my office late for work, the back end of my sweet, beloved car caved in, and the insurance information of a nice barely-older-than-kid guy who was just as flustered and new to accidents as I was.

But I'll say this for myself...I'm a very nice lady to get into an accident with! I even wished him a happy Friday as we parted ways. I may have dotted every i and crossed every t when writing down his info (he was at fault), but at least I cracked jokes and laughed it all up while doing it.

If you're going to cause a small accident, I'm the gal you wanna do it with. Just sayin'.

So...happy Friday, everyone. :)

Last night was a take it easy, hang around the house night. I ate ravioli for dinner and watched another episode of Once Upon a Time. Then headed to the park just down the street where a group from my church plays ultimate frisbee every Thursday. Nope, I didn't play but I shot some pictures that didn't really turn out, but oh well. Can't win 'em all.

Here's a sneak peak at the newest review book I'm reading. Quite different from the last one, with more of a "Frank Peretti spiritual twist" to it, but it's been an intriguing concept. I'll give you a hint: it has floating condo's. Yes, I know.

Anyways, I hope Friday has been memorial, but perhaps, not as memorable as mine has been. May your Friday be filled with yummy foods, happy thoughts and car's with back fenders intact.

    1. Hey, Madison!! I'd stopped posting on it just because I lost interest, haha...so I deleted it! There's already so many other blogs that do fabulous reviews anyway, so I didn't feel it was a huge loss! :) If you're looking for good reviews, check out Rissi's blog @ scribblesscriptsandsuch.blogspot.com. She's my go-to gal for reviews. :)

    2. I was just wondering because I went to go look for it and it was gone... I guess there is no reason to keep a blog you don't even enjoy posting on...:)

Thanks! I'll check it out! :)

    3. Hehe, quite right, Madison! :)

  2. Well I'm glad that you're ok! Sorry about the accident though. And you got the polka-dot skinnys! Love them. Adorable. And you are too, by the way :)

    1. I'm glad I'm okay, too! Too bad the {rather cute} guy wasn't just a few years older, would have made a great "How We Met" story, eh? Just kidding. ;) And yes, I bought the polka-dots! I love them, too! There's an art to modestly wearing skinnies and it's an art I'm trying to get into and learn. :D

    2. Sadly most people have no clue of that "art" but I'm enjoying learning it myself! My favorite right now is taking super cute dress that are (by themselves) way too short and putting skinnys underneath. Add a jacket and/or scarf and, voila! Instant cute outfit ;)

    3. I've noticed a wee bit of that style in your photos lately and have admired it! I'm planning on checking out the too-short dresses the next time I hit up a thrift store!

  3. Gosh the guy I got in a fender bender with (his massive truck was fine, but my headlight caved in.....) was an old cranky guy with a pot belly who just laughed about female drivers and though I was silly for trying to give him my insurance info! You sound like a much nicer person to run into!

I love Once Upon a Time, we are like 5 episodes behind, we've got to catch up, I can't avoid spoilers forever!

Another absolutely adorable selfie, you my girl are gorgeous! =)

    1. Oh, KatySue! What a terrible experience! I probably would have broken down in tears and be absolutely humiliated by it if my "culprit" had been a nasty guy. I was quite surprised to find it to be a {good looking} young guy...since I was in a bad part of town where the "usual" person is the kind of person you normally avoid at all costs! :D And he was even my from own town...which was like 25 minutes away, so ironic. :) Here's to NEVER being in any form of accident ever again! If only that could be true. ;)

I just finished the episode called...nope, can't remember the name, but I think it was Episode 16? The one right after "The Miller's Daughter." I'm so excited for the next episode...since it's thumbnail was of one of my favorite characters who hasn't been around much lately. :)

  4. Glad you are okay, Kellie! No matter how "small," it cannot be fun to be in an accident. The good thing is no one was hurt.

Kellie - you look adorable in your polka-dot skinnies! Love them. :) So chic and cute. And yippee for 'Once' and new books; hope you enjoy your new book. :)

    1. Other than a progressively getting sore shoulder, I do believe I'm fine and I shall live through it - despite a minor insurance fiasco that is beginning to be enacted. Oh well. I'm not going to worry about it. God's got my back and whatever happens, will be the {biblical definition} good. :) And yes, thank heavens, it really was just a fender bender, not something a lot more serious.

Thanks, friendie! The polka-dots are from Target and I highly recommend them! They're reasonably priced, too. :)

    2. Thank God for blessings - both small and big. :)

Gotta love Target - and a bargain. ;)

    3. I'm definitely a sucker for a good bargain. ;)

  5. FYI, almost every single post you write makes me laugh OUT LOUD (which isn't common for me when I'm online) and while reading almost every post (so it seems) I have to pause in my reading and think that subliminal huh? Like the floating condos statement. *pause* What? and then I keep reading. :-P I love that you've been posting every day this week because I have fun reading your blog.
    Danke
See ya tomorrow! ;) (Maybe I'll wear green, just to match.)

    1. Michelle, I must admit that I'm so glad that I can make you laugh! I love blogging and making my blog a "happy place." Although...I'm somewhat confused as to why you wearing green tomorrow is going to "match." Did I miss something glaringly obvious that I'm going to be embarrassed about having totally missed the connection?

    2. I tend not to make sense when I say stuff like that. *cocks head as if trying to understand what I just said* But, if you think in terms of texts and nicknames . . . you might figure it out without me having to explain myself. :)

    3. LOL!! Okay, yes. I totally got it this time around. Hehe. Yes, you should. ;)

  6. So glad you're okay, & hope your car gets fixed speedily! Fender-benders are nervewracking...& the closest I've ever come to one is when a guy *VERY* gently tapped the edge of my back bumper. Not a scratch or dent as it was in a practically grid-locked parking lot...but I was still FREAKED!

Before you even said you were watching "Once Upon a Time" I knew it was the Evil Queen/Regina on your screen! LOVE that you're loving it!!!! ::grins:: Just WAIT till you catch up in full--oh my gosh. Mind=BLOWN.
Cute skinny jeans, by the way! ;)

    1. Thanks, Megs!! I spent some time on the phone with the insuranc people yesterday and woohoo, my car will be fixed and "returned to it's prior" condition without any expense on my part. That's what I like to hear! Athough I can't help but feel sorry for the poor kid who hit me...his already expensive insurance is going to seriously spike!! I'd be freaked even over a little "pumb" when it's another vehicle hitting you! It's just such a scary thing to have any kind of incident in a car!

Hehe, yes, it was Cora! :D Looking forward to watching the next episode this afternoon - it has Pinocchio in the thumbnail, so I'm excited to hopefully have my favorite character back! :D

  7. Glad you're okay (even if the back of your car isn't!). And lucky guy to get in an accident with someone nice like you! :)

And your JEANS, girl--they're adorable! Where'd you get them? I've tried a pair on before, but I always feared they made me look like a clown. You, on the other hand, look so cute in them!

    1. Kiki, I got them a few days ago at Target! They are cute, comfy and reasonably priced! When skinnies first came out, I was adamently against them, for one, since I considered them "immmodest" (and they can be! if not done right, as any pair of pants are) but because I have wide-ish hips and I thought I looked like a pear. But now that they've been around for awhile and the "pear" look is actually normal now....I'm getting with it. If you decide you want to give it a try, go with the polka-dot ones! They're so much fun! :D

  8. Ahhh. THAT is one of the reasons that I hate driving (and avoid it as much as possible...). No matter how in control you are, there's always unpredictable people around. It kind of freaks out my inner control freak. :D I'm glad you're ok!

Is that young Cora in the pic with your lovely toes and cute flip-flops? :D I love Once Upon a Time. *sigh* So much fun costuming and other fantasy yumminess.

Afloat looks pretty different from my usual bookish fare, but you've got me interested to hear more about it.

    1. Taylor, that's so sad that you don't like driving! See, I LOVE driving and I'm a good driver....but like you said, unpredictabile people all around! Although I'll confess to being slightly "on edge" while driving now. But that's to be expected after a first accident!

Yes! That was Cora in the picture, good eye! I love the show, too! It's right up my fairy-tale lovin' heart!

    2. I know! Driving is a very inconvenient thing to dislike. It's just so darn practical. :D
